Quaternized copolymer of vinylpyrrolidone and dimethylaminoethyl methacrylate.PQ-11 is a high molecular weight product (average molecular weight ~ 1,000,000), supplied as a highly viscous, aqueous solution (20% solids).
PQ-11 forms clear, non-tacky, continuous films. PQ-11 cationic nature gives substantivity to hair, providing conditioning and bodying effects, with minimum build-up. PQ-11 improves wet and dry combability, gloss, smoothness and manageability of hair. PQ-11 is compatible with nonionic, anionic and amphoteric surfactants.

Application: Conditioning agent in conditioning shampoos and cream or clear rinse conditioners. Provides instant detangling while adding volume and body. Film former in styling products, such as aerosol mousses, gels and glazes. Spray on products (Gafquat 440) for conditioning and blow-drying. Additive for improved skin feel in shaving products, skin creams and lotions, deodorants and antiperspirants, liquid and bar soaps. Provides thermal/mechanical protection in styling products.
